今は、ヨーロッパのスニーカーやストリートウェ ア の ブ テ ィ ッ ク「 S O L E B O X 」の ゼ ネ ラ ル マ ネ ー ジ ャ ー 兼 ク リ エ イ テ ィ ブディレクターを務めているんだけど、スニーカーにのめり込んでいっ た の は 、ス ケ ー ト ボ ー ド に 熱 中 し て い た 2 0 0 0 年 代 は じ め 。1 7 歳 か 1 8 歳 だ ったかな。ラップミュージックに夢中になっていた私たちのファッション は 、タ イ ト な デ ニ ム や T h r a s h e r の T シ ャ ツ よ り も 、L R G 、D I A M O N D 、 JORDAN、NIKE。ちょうどNIKE SBが出てきたころで、地元のスケー トショップで働いていた私は、店にやってきたNIKE SBの担当者が SupremeとNIKEがコラボしたwhite cementsを履いていたのを見て「欲 し い 」と 強 烈 に 思 っ た の を 覚 え て い る よ 。
そ の こ ろ は S u p r e m e の こ と も 知 らず、ひたすらスケートをして、DANNY SUPASを履き潰していただけ の ガ キ だ っ た け ど ね( 笑 )。
た だ 、そ の 1 5 年 後 、私 は か つ て 買 え な か っ た シューズを、自由に買えるようになった。スニーカーやストリートウェア の存在が、自分をこのポジションまで連れてきてくれたことに感謝して いるよ。そして憧れのヒーローに会えて、彼らと仕事ができて、クリエイ ティブな商品を手掛けられるようになったことにも。夢って叶うんだよ。

The moment I actually bought the pair in my size for a reasonable price, I got that feeling of excitement that I felt when I was first introduced to sneakers. I am currently the general manager and creative director of European sneaker and streetwear boutique “SOLEBOX”, but I first got into sneakers in the early 2000s when I was obsessed with skateboarding. I think i was 17 or 18. Caught up in rap music at the time, our fashion was less Thrasher T shirts and tight denim but rather LRG, DIAMOND, JORDAN, and NIKE. Right around when NIKE SB was starting out, I was working at a skate shop and saw a NIKE SB rep come into the store wearing the Supreme NIKE Cement collab and I remember immediately thinking, “I want those”. Back then, I didn’t know what Supreme was, and was just a kid skating around destroying DANNY SUPAS. (lol) But now, 15 years later, I can buy those shoes that I couldn’t a ord back then. I am thankful to both sneakers and street wear as they have brought me to this point in my life as well as, being able to meet my longtime heroes and collaborate with them on creative projects. Dreams really do come true.
